Under the supervision of the Captain, the server controls the service to the guest at their table. He or she also ensures that the table and all mise-en-place are properly set and replenished. Additional duties include following the service sequence, practicing suggestive selling techniques, cashiering duties and following the instructions of the outlet manager. As a position with a lot of guest contact, the server plays a critical role in ensuring that guests have an enjoyable and memorable experience.
